THE PLUS SIDE
The Official Broadway Plus Blog
As a Marketing/Communications Intern at Broadway Plus after my sophomore year of college, I jumpstarted the Broadway Plus blog, "The Plus Side." I then rejoined the Broadway Plus team full-time as a Client Experience & Marketing Associate once I graduated. I revisited the blog and decided to spearhead its reconstruction with the mission of having the blog and the company's social media accounts mutually reinforce one another in order to maximize exposure, consumer interaction, and, ultimately, profit.

STUDENT SHOWCASE
Inspired by online contests like BroadwayWorld's Next on Stage and Playbill's Search for a Star Contest, I wanted to start a similar initiative at Broadway Plus, but frame it as a showcase, rather than a competition. I connected this showcase back to the Broadway Plus mission and used it as an incentive for aspiring performers to book lessons with Broadway stars through our platform.
SPOTIFY SPOTLIGHT
For our followers to learn more about the artists available to them on the Broadway Plus platform, I collaborated with various artists to create themed & individually tailored Spotify playlists. From Alex Brightman's Halloween Hit List to Christy Altomare's Pre-Show Jams, these playlists provided a level of connection between fans & artists, while enticing private bookings.
BROADWAY BREAKDOWN
Every month or so, we'd shoutout the Broadway shows that the Broadway Plus team got the opportunity to see. Inspired by Buzzfeed quizzes, I created quizzes that would match you with a show recommendation. These interactive posts would highlight shows that we partner with on our platform and ultimately encourage viewers to use our services to see these shows.
FEATURES & TAKEOVERS
From behind-the-scenes looks, to coveted advice from a Broadway star, to blog takeovers, I used the blog to make Broadway more accessible to aspiring performers and fans alike. I also used it a means to elevate our own artist's voices, such as when Nik Walker did a blog takeover for Black History Month and Molly Braverman discussed her passion for the Broadway Green Alliance.
